RatCat Software is a small software development company formed in 2009 by Ted and Tanya Moroz. Ted is a senior technology manager for a local newspaper who has a passion for his children and a love of computer programming. Tanya, a preschool teacher, is a tech savvy mom who is always looking for ways to incorporate learning into everyday activities. Together we have four children ranging in age from three to thirteen who are often referred to as the “testing crew” in our blog posts.

The company goal is simple, design and develop applications and games for the iPhone and iPod Touch that are fun and educational.  If the applications pass the test of our kids, then we will pass them along to you at the apple apps store.

A common question we are asked is what’s with the name RatCat? Well RatCat is a name one of our daughters started calling our gray and white tabby cat when he was just a kitten. The name has stuck with him over the past 10 years and now the entire family knows him by this name (although its not his real name!). When we started looking for a name to call our company, the name just kind of jumped out at us from a list of about 15 possibilities that we had came up with. Hope you like it, we think its kind of catchy!
